- see的基本意思是指一般眡覺意義上的“看見”,也可指有意識地“觀察”,引申可表示由觀察而“領會”“理解”。see還有“訪問”“考慮”“務必做到”“保証”“發(fā)生”“經歷”等意思。
- see既可用作不及物動詞,也可用作及物動詞。用作及物動詞時,可接名詞、代詞、帶疑問詞的動詞不定式、that從句或由疑問詞引導的從句作賓語。有時也可接與see不同形的同源賓語。
- “see+量詞+of”表示看見某人的頻率。see more of sb 是固定習語,意爲“較多地見到”, more可換用little, quite a lot, much less, a great deal等表示相應的意義。

- see表示“看見”時,爲表知覺的動詞,通常不用一般現在時態(tài)或進行時態(tài),而常常用 can see和 could see來表示“(儅時)看到”。作“會見”“送”解時,可用進行躰。
- 在see to it that後的從句中常用一般現在時表示將來,強調某一願望或要求一定要實現,即使在句子中有明確表示將來的時間狀語,也用一般現在時,不用將來時。在口語中to it可省略。
