year的基本意思是“年”,指地球繞太陽一周所需要的時(shí)間,通常為365天,有時(shí)也為366天,也可指與某物有關(guān)的“一年的時(shí)間”。year也可指一個(gè)人的“年齡,年歲”,還可指“學(xué)年,年度”。
year表示“…歲的”時(shí),其后通常要加old一詞,此時(shí)year前后都須有連字符,且不可用復(fù)數(shù)形式。
years在表示“好幾年”時(shí),前面一般不加many。如果指幾十年,甚至更長的時(shí)間,則不能用years。
year of之后往往不搭用年份的數(shù)目,除非前面有定語。
